Remote access software deployed via email lures

Scammers send emails from compromised or spoofed accounts containing links that install remote access tools such as ConnectWise ScreenConnect. Once connected, operators may display fake error screens to distract victims while conducting unauthorised banking transactions.
How the scam works
Email-delivered links or attachments install legitimate remote access clients, enabling live device takeover and fraudulent financial transfers.
